Certified Myofascial Cupping Therapy

Originally from Manitoba, I made the move out to Lethbridge in the spring of 2016 simply for the fact that there are more opportunities for spectacular hiking, camping, failed snowboarding attempts and outdoor activities. I love to get outside any chance I get despite my pale complexion, as well as travel and explore!

Massage therapy has been a passion of mine for the past 6 years since my training began at the Massage Therapy College of Manitoba in Winnipeg. I have had the privilege to work with pro athletes, cancer care patients, children/adolescents, and everyone in between. I love seeing clients recover and thrive after each treatment!

I also have had the opportunity to obtain my Certification in Myofascial Cupping Therapy which you can click here to learn about! Cupping has been a great addition to my practice and to my clients care.

I love meeting new people and getting to know my clients, & I look forward to meeting you too!

I grew up on a farm just outside of Enchant, and spent my childhood outdoors playing any sport I could get my hands on! When I was in high school, my focus shifted to volleyball - I was fortunate enough to play for Team Alberta, the Canadian Junior National Team, and finally ended up at the University of Calgary Dinos volleyball program, where I also completed my Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology. I did my last semester abroad, which allowed me to spend over half a year travelling around Asia and Australia, an incredible experience!

When I returned I made the move up north to get my Masters of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta.

My love for the outdoors has never gone away. I love making trips out to the mountains, and fill my free time with hiking, biking, running, lifting weights, and relaxing with my brand new husband at home.

I have been working as a Physiotherapist in Lethbridge since I graduated in the fall of 2015, and have since obtained my Level II Upper and Lower Manual Therapy Certifications through the Orthopedic Division, and plan to continue onto my Level III's this year! I have also obtained certification to perform Biomedical Dry Needling, a neuromuscular based form of needling that aids in muscle facilitation and inhibition to reach your movement goals. Although I do have a special interest in the Athletic population, I have a passion to help anyone who is motivated to work together with me to reach their pain and movement goals.

If you are looking for someone who will take the time to help you and not rush you through my doors, then I might be the physio for you! I look forward to working with you!

I began my post secondary education at UBC where I obtained a Bachelors in Human Kinetics with a focus on exercise science.  Before starting on my physiotherapy degree, I worked as a kinesologist doing exercise therapy.

I completed his Masters degree in physiotherapy in 2008 from the University of Alberta and have since done a number of post graduate physiotherapy courses focused on manual therapy, orthopaedics, work place health, and sports injuries. I have completed level 3 Upper and Lower quadrants courses of the Canadian Physiotherapies Orthopaedic Division.  I am also certified to practice Chan Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS).

I have worked in private practice clinics for my entire career.  Although I have worked predominantly in the Vancouver area, my career has also taken me to London, England.  My position in London was unique as I was treating staff members on-site at two large hospitals and at Harrods Department store.  As part of this job I performed job site evaluations, ergonomic assessments, and assessed and treated staff members.

When I am not working I enjoy running, skiing, traveling and spending time with my wife and two young daughters.

I graduated the top of my class from the Southern Alberta Institute of massage in 2013. Born and raised in Edmonton, other opportunities came knocking, and in the pursuit of happiness and for the sake of the future with my (then) boyfriend soon to be husband, we found ourselves relocating to Lethbridge where I took it on myself to go back to school and become a registered massage therapist.

My passion for health-care, biology and anatomy turned me onto the path of massage therapy and I have never looked back.   Something you'll likely discover about me is that I'm a huge nerd, and I incorporate that love into my daily surroundings. My number one love being Harry Potter. Not only is it my ambition to eventually combine nerd culture with my massage practice, but also to obtain a masters certification in barefoot therapy which focuses on lower back pain.

After a childhood injury sprained my low back I have become sympathetic to those suffering with chronic back pain and would love to help ease them back to a sense of normality.  I love getting to know my clients and help them on their own personal healthcare journeys! My deep tissue, myofascial therapeutic approach has helped so many and I look forward to helping you with yours.

Certified Thai Rattan Bamboo Massage Therapy

Mom, Momma, Wifey, is what I go by most days and I am outnumbered by my husband and our two boys. I started my Massage Therapy journey at the Lethbridge College in 2008 and have continued to explore my passion in between starting our foundation repair company and raising our two boys.

Fitness and being active is very important to me and i enjoy a good fitness challenge from time to time! In the summer, you can find me down in the coulees doing the stairs at Indian Battle Park, usually with my youngest strapped to my back.  I love getting outdoors and going for bike rides with my boys, but you can also find me curled up in the movie theater munching on popcorn!

I love getting to know new people through massage therapy and I love hearing their stories. I promote a nonjudgmental safe and honest space for my clients to come, be themselves and ultimately feel better than when they first came in.

Therapeutic massage is what I focus on, sometimes with a combination of hot stones; however, a good Relaxation Massage may just be what the doctor ordered! Learning new techniques to help my clients is important to me and I will continue to expand my knowledge and skills in the field of massage.

I look forward to meeting you and ultimately improving the quality of your movements as you go through your day!
